World Hepatitis Day 2025 — Unite for Liver Health

World Hepatitis Day 2025 raises global awareness of viral hepatitis, promotes liver health, and encourages everyone to take action through testing, vaccination, and prevention — helping to eliminate Hepatitis B and C and reduce the burden of liver disease in the UK and worldwide.

Watch the video above to learn how we can work together to eliminate hepatitis and protect liver health for everyone.

What is Hepatitis?

Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. It can be caused by viruses, alcohol, toxins, or autoimmune diseases. The most common types — Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E — affect millions globally, often without symptoms in the early stages.
Without proper treatment, viral hepatitis can lead to chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, or liver cancer. That’s why Hepatitis Awareness Day 2025 is so important: it reminds us that knowledge saves lives.

Why Hepatitis Awareness Day 2025 Matters

Globally, an estimated 304 million people live with chronic hepatitis B or C. Many are unaware of their infection.
By promoting testing, vaccination, and treatment, World Hepatitis Day 2025 encourages everyone to take action:

  • Get tested for Hepatitis B and C — especially if you were born before routine screening or live in high-prevalence areas.
  • Get vaccinated against Hepatitis B — safe, effective, and long-lasting.
  • Practice prevention — avoid sharing needles, ensure safe medical practices, and protect yourself during travel.
  • Learn the symptoms — early detection can prevent liver damage and save lives.

Join the Movement

This Hepatitis Awareness Day, share the message on social media, talk to family and friends, and help reduce stigma.

Together, we can reach the World Health Organization’s goal to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030.

Take the Next Step

  • Book a free liver health check or speak to your GP about testing.
  • Learn more from trusted sources like the World Hepatitis Alliance and the WHO.
  • Share this page to spread awareness — every click helps raise visibility.

Let’s make World Hepatitis Day 2025 a turning point.
Let’s unite for liver health — because hepatitis can’t wait.

At Health Analytical Solutions, we work with MedTech and NHS partners to ensure early detection, smarter diagnostics, and better resource allocation for preventable diseases like hepatitis. We’ve created a short explainer video to highlight what’s changing – and what still needs to be done.
