Granulox receives NICE Medtech innovation briefing
Another fantastic achievement for us, as we have great pleasure to announce that Granulox® by Mölnlycke Health Care has received NICE advice under the MedTech Innovation briefing program (MIB 296). Based on the evidence and economics, the technology shows promise for saving the NHS money in the treatment of patients with chronic wounds especially those with diabetic foot ulcers.

Granulox (Mölnlycke Health Care) is a topical sterile haemoglobin spray for treating chronic non-healing wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers and pressure ulcers. The spray can transport
oxygen to the base of non-healing wounds to support wound healing. It is sprayed onto the wound bed after debridement and before the relevant dressing is applied.
Due to the increased levels of chronic wounds during the covid-19 period, the ability to treat patients more efficiently and heal wounds, will release time back in to the healthcare system.

Health Analytical Solutions has supported Mölnlycke
Health Care throughout this process. This included the creation of economic models across all chronic wounds, positioning their value propositions to the NICE team and gathering all clinical evidence.
